Top Places to visit and shoot in Amsterdam – Amsterdam Insta Guide

Amsterdam Insta Guide (Instagram Places, Things to do & Popular food spots)

Instagrammable Places:

  1. The Nine Streets (Negen Straatjes) ????  Berenstraat

???? Nine streets has its name from the fact that its 3×3 streets that cross each other. You will find really nice canals here and amazing boutique and vintage shops. Furthermore, it has loads of cute cafes and eat spots. It does not matter what time you would shoot here in regards to the canal shots, you might just have to wait your turn for a little bit.

2. Floating Flower Market (Bloemenmarkt) ????  Bloemenmarkt, Singel, 1012 DH
3. Leidsegrachten ( Bow Canals with lights) ???? Leidsegracht

???? The flower market has the most beautiful flower stands. It is one of the most colourful things in the city. It is open from 09:00-17:30. except Sundays(11:00-17:30).

???? These canals are really pretty by day and night. You can see multiple canal arches from certain points. At night all the arches are lighted up with light bulbs.

There is a new york pizza very close to this canal. We just bought a takeaway pizza and ate it at the side of the canal. This was a spot behind some electricity boxes, with a perfect view of the 3 arches.

4. Damrak( very narrow famous houses) ???? Damrak(near the station)

???? This is definitely a must-see in Amsterdam! These houses are one of the most narrow houses in Amsterdam. They are very popular because of their nice colours and design.

5. De Dam( Dam Square) ???? De Dam

6. Square full of dots (Schip van Slebos) ???? Oostoever, 1064 GV

???? The Dam Square is the most central point in Amsterdam. There are always a lot of people performing things at the square, along with the pigeon feeders. It is surrounded by museums and palaces.

You have to be here early if you want a shot on the square. As you can see on the left I had a cyclist as photobomb, how typical for Amsterdam.

???? This was a really artsy find! A really cool spot to take some pictures, and it was really remote and quiet. The square is located next to a lake/river/canal. This picture was taken from an above view, as you can stand on a wall easily at this square.

I would recommend renting a bike and cycle here from the city centre.

7. W Hotel Amsterdam Rooftop with Infinity Pool ???? Spuistraat 175, 1012 VN

???? This place was amazing! The view is really nice from the rooftop. Furthermore, there is a perfect reflection of the city in their glass wall. We asked if we could take some pictures, which was fine.

If you want to swim you can buy a day pass to get access to the pool all day.

8. Eye Film Museum ???? IJpromenade 1, 1031 KT

9. WONDR Experience Amsterdam ???? Meeuwenlaan 88

???? This museum is great for photographers. A lot of amazing patterns, designs and angles to take epic shots! You can go to the museum by taking a free boat from the back of the station to the other side of the canal. The wall in the picture on the left is on the outside, so no need to enter the museum for this one in particular.

I haven’t been here myself, but it is THE Instagram Museum. So I can’t leave this out of my post. It’s a pop-up store, so not sure how long this will last.
